Valley Aikido is a traditional martial arts dojo dedicated to the transmission of Aikido, or the art of peace. Aikido was created in the early 20th Century by Morihei Ueshiba or O Sensei. According to the founder, “To control aggression without inflicting injury is the Art of Peace.”
Valley Aikido was founded in 1985 and is affiliated with Aikido’s world headquarters in Japan through the United States Aikido Federation. We welcome students of all ages and offer classes six days a week in a safe and supportive environment.
Practicing Aikido provides many benefits for body, mind and spirit. They range from increased balance, flexibility and strength, to improved awareness, concentration and self confidence. Sincere practice is a path to character development and compassion for others.
